Including the linen backing, it measures roughly 29.5 x 42.875 inches. This is a rare poster. This poster is in very good condition with excellent color and has been professionally linen backed. The poster is framed and preserved in excellent condition, making it a perfect addition to any collection. Manufactured in the United States, this is a unique piece of art that captures the essence of air travel during the mid-twentieth century. Truly, this is a must have piece!!This piece is in beautiful vintage condition with no tears, holes, foxxing, or really any damage to speak of!! It was exceptionally well kept, and has since been preservation mounted on linen, coupled with a beautiful wood frame, and put behind crystal clear 100% UV resistant acrylic. The only notable flaws are not to the actual poster, but to the frame. It has some light knicks and scratches, mainly at the bottom corners.The poster measures approximately 25" x 40", and the entire piece framed measures 45.25" x 30" x 1.25".This is a truly an exceptional piece, and you wiill be hard pressed to find a better one!I LOVE ACCEPTING OFFERS!!! 1940's or 1950's era, first issue, approx 27.65 grams marked sterling on back, haltoms, fort worth mfr, threaded post) has initials LF scratched on the back. may be decades before another one of these comes on the market.rare hat badge, note, the curl on the top right wing is correct as it should be. per wikipedia: Central Airlines was a scheduled passenger airline (the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) called it a "local service" air carrier) operating service in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas from 1949 to 1967. It was founded by Keith Kahle in 1944 to operate charter and fixed base services in Oklahoma, but was not granted an air operator's certificate until 1946 and did not begin scheduled flights until September 15, 1949, just before the certificate expired. Central was then headquartered at Meacham Field in Fort Worth, Texas. The airline was eventually acquired by and merged into the original Frontier Airlines in 1967 which continued and expanded its network. Air France Planisphere Lucien Boucher Original Vintage Poster rare travel poster by Lucien Boucher - original !!! This is one a series of well-designed maps by Lucien Boucher for Air France during the 1950's. This image, created in 1952, colorfully presents the routes of Air France as well as vignette of peoples of the globe in their native settings. ?? The details and colors are very fine and crisp and this image is both historically relevant as well as decorative. Lucien Boucher (1889-1971) was a French graphic designer and illustrator most known to collectors for his many beautiful Air France travel posters. Boucher got his start as a cartoonist for the French humor magazine, Le Rire before moving into product and cinema poster design. He experimented in Surrealism, as well as Art Deco in his early advertising. Boucher's unique mid-century painting style combines his Art Deco influence and traditional painting to offer a fresh look for advertising. His body of work for Air France is well regarded by collectors as a leader in the mid-century style. Among these artworks are Boucher's series of "Planispheres," which depicted the ever-expanding travel routes of the Air France airline. He completed the series of Planispheres from 1934-1962, continually developing the imagery with a fresh approach. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction.
